Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to paid subscriptions (Pro at €9/month or €90/year, and Business at €29/month or €290/year) for RedaktPDF. All payments and refunds are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), who acts as the Merchant of Record. This means Paddle — not RedaktPDF — is the entity that charges your payment method and processes any refunds. Refunds are always returned to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.

1. Statutory Right of Withdrawal & Satisfaction Guarantee

Under the European Union's Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), consumers in the EU and EEA have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from digital service contracts. This is a legal right, not a courtesy. The withdrawal period begins on the date of purchase (i.e., the date your subscription is activated) and expires 14 calendar days later.

If, at the time of purchase, you explicitly consented to the immediate provision of the digital service and acknowledged that you would lose your right of withdrawal once the service was fully provided (in accordance with Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU), the statutory right of withdrawal may not apply. However, regardless of this waiver, RedaktPDF offers a 14-day satisfaction guarantee on all subscriptions. If you are not satisfied for any reason within 14 days of your purchase or renewal, you may request a full refund — no questions asked.

2. How to Request a Refund or Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal

To request a refund or exercise your right of withdrawal, you can:

  • Email us at support@redaktpdf.com with your account email and the reason for the refund
  • Contact Paddle directly through the payment receipt email you received

Since Paddle is the Merchant of Record, all refunds are processed by Paddle and returned to the original payment method. Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days.

3. Annual Subscriptions

Annual subscriptions are eligible for a full refund within 14 days of purchase or renewal, in accordance with the EU statutory right of withdrawal and our satisfaction guarantee. After the 14-day period, we may offer a prorated refund for the unused portion of the annual term at our discretion.

4. After the 14-Day Refund Window

After the 14-day withdrawal and satisfaction guarantee period, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. We may offer a prorated refund if there are extenuating circumstances, such as a service outage or billing error.

5. Account Impact After Refund

Once a refund is processed, your account is immediately downgraded to the Free tier. Free-tier file retention is limited to 24 hours. Any files that exceed the Free retention window may be permanently deleted. We recommend downloading any files you wish to keep before requesting a refund.

6. Cancellation vs. Refund

Cancelling your subscription is different from requesting a refund. When you cancel:

  • Your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period
  • You will not be charged again
  • No refund is issued for the remaining time unless requested within the 14-day window

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your billing dashboard.
